Terms of Use


I. Primary Purpose
The Primary Purpose of the IYRS Alumni Association website is to allow IYRS alumni to interact among themselves as well as with people from around the world with similar interests to theirs.

II. Prerequisites to Post
Everyone is eligible to post on the web site , but it will be appreciated if people keep to the spirit of the web site.

III. Posting Guidelines
An entry in the alumni postings may be edited and/or removed without warning if one or more of the following guidelines are violated:

Use of inappropriate language including words or phrases not typically found in a professional environment is forbidden and will result in immediate removal and banning.

Use of derogatory racial or gender based comments is forbidden and will result in immediate removal and banning.

Slandering another member directly or indirectly  is strictly forbidden.

Use of the site solely for political views, social issues, etc is forbidden and will result in immediate removal and banning.

Use of the site for advertising or marketing purposes is forbidden and will result in immediate removal, unless it has been invited by the web master as part of aids to be offered to the site for its participants.

You must provide a valid e-mail address.We typically do not allow addresses and phone numbers for security reasons.

This is a service of the IYRS Alumni Association, and these terms and conditions of the site can be changed at any timewith or without notification. 

We reserve the right to edit and/or remove any content at any time for any reason. 

IV. Reporting a Violation
If you find a posting in violation of these guidelines, please let us know immediately by contacting the webmaster (iyrsalum@gmail.com). We will determine if the posting violates the respective guidelines and warrants removal. 

V. Non-Violation Complaints
If a posting receives a single complaint and is NOT in violation of any of the above guidelines, the owner may be contacted and asked to change his or her posting to suit the request. If the owner refuses, the post may or may not be edited at the discretion of IYRS Alumni Association. webmaster. Please note that a single complaint against a posting that is not in violation of theguidelines will most likely NOT result in the post being changed or removed.

This system is in place to protect both the user's right to read and post comments freely. It also will help shape the IYRS Alumni Association website in a way the majority of the class members agree with. If a post receives multiple complaints, the owner will be contacted and asked to change his or her post. If he or she refuses, we may edit it or remove it depending on how many people have reported it.If any attempt to contact the owner fails due to an invalid e-mail address or if the owner does not respond to a request for change within 5 business days, the post will be removed regardless of the number of complaints received or if violations occur. 

VI. Violation of Guidelines
If a post is indeed either found in violation of guidelines set forth in Article III or receives multiple violation requests with no sign of changing, then the following actions may be performed:The post may be edited by the web master to suit the guidelinesThe post may be completely removed from the systemThe user may be banned from the website.These actions may come with or without warning to the owner. 

VII. Posting to the Website
In order to post to the IYRS Alumni Association website, please send the relevant forms provided or send an email to the webmaster (iyrsalum@gmail.com) with the subject of "IAA Website Information Update".  Please include your name, and the information you wish to update or contribute If you are simply updating your email address, you must state so. We will not assume that the email address you are contacting us from is your current address. By not following this procedure, your information may not be updated in a timely manner. Typically, if these procedures are followed, postings and updates will be introduced within 2 business days.You will NOT receive confirmation that your post has been updated. If your post is not updated within 7 business days, please contact the webmaster (iyrsalum@gmail.com) or by calling the IYRS Alumni Association at any of the numbers in our Contact Us page, between the hours indicated there.

VIII. Removing Your Post from the Website
If you wish to have your post completely removed from the website, simply contact the webmaster (iaa@gmail.com) with the subject of "Alumni Information Update". Be sure to include  your name. By not following this procedure, your information may not be removed in a timely manner. Typically, if these proceduresare followed, postings are removed within 2 business days.You will NOT receive confirmation that your post has been deleted. If your post is not deleted within 7 business days, please contact the webmaster (iyrsalum@gmail.com) or by calling the IYRS Alumni Association at any of the numbers in our Contact Us page, between the hours indicated there.
